Professor Mary P. Griskewicz is a part-time lecturer at Northeastern University, specializing in health information technology, health policy, and health insurance verticals. Mary is the senior director of Healthcare Information Systems for the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, serving as the senior industry content expert for their Ambulatory Medical Practice, Consumer Health, and Clinical & Business Intelligence Committees. Among her many responsibilities at HIMSS, Mary develops and delivers industry educational briefings to the society’s members and Government and Policy experts on topics such as data warehousing, provider and patient engagement, and meaningful use of EHR’s. She is an expert on Health IT, specifically on ePrescribing, patient engagement, healthcare disparities, clinical intelligence and use of the data, and payer and life sciences adoption use of information technology.
Mary has over two decades of experience in healthcare, working for GE Healthcare, Tek Systems, Saint Raphael’s Health System Anthem the Hospital of Saint Raphael, Aetna Health Plans, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut. She is an award-winning professional with a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration from Central Connecticut State University.
Before coming to Northeastern, Mary delivered lectures across the country, taught an HIT Certification Program at Capitol Community College, and was the visiting scholar at Yale’s Healthcare Leadership Program.
