  • BA in history, Boston University
  • MS in Library Science, Simmons College

What are the specifics of your educational/career background?

I have a BA in history from Boston University, and an MS in Library Science from Simmons College. After working at several different institutions in the nonprofit sector, I’m excited to return to the higher education world as a professional.

What are the key aspects of your role at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most about what you do?

I support the graduate school administration in a variety of projects, from communications and event planning to student advising. I love the variety of my schedule and the opportunity to find new ways of improving student experience. I also love being around the students! My favorite aspect of working in higher education is getting to talk with people who are excited about what they’re doing.

What’s the most compelling thing to you about the work that goes on at CCIS?

I greatly admire the College’s commitment to diversity. Computer Science is already such a vast field, and CCIS is working to expand that impact even further through interdisciplinary programs and initiatives such as ALIGN. I’m proud to contribute to an environment that supports people from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences.

Where did you grow up or spend your most defining years?

I grew up first in Texas and spent most of my teenage years in Maine.
