Professor Marchant is currently the Enterprise Cybersecurity Risk Officer for Shire, an international pharmaceutical company focusing on the significant unmet medical needs of rare diseases. He and his team are responsible for managing information security-related risk across Shire and its diverse pool of vendors.
Professor Marchant has worked in information security for 15 years specializing in balancing security needs and business requirements. He has worked in several verticals of varying security maturity including the private sector, academia, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and healthcare. Professor Marchant received his Master in Business Administration from Webster University and his Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management.
