Designed for collaboration and creativity
At CCIS, innovation runs deep—from students to faculty to the systems and facilities that make education and exploration possible. Our building houses cutting-edge research labs. Our networks ensure you can run code securely and seamlessly. Our equipment is modern yet built to last. And our systems group provides all the support you need.
A home for innovation
Since 2004, West Village H (WVH) has served as the home for CCIS, and the 16-story residence hall/computer science complex was awarded the 2005 Harleston Parker Medal by the Boston Society of Architects, distinguishing it as the city’s best piece of architecture that year.
WVH is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer systems infrastructure, plus three classroom computer labs, two lecture-style classrooms, PhD research labs, conference rooms, and faculty and staff offices—including the CCIS Dean’s office.
